Join us for a Community Winter Walk in London!
Come and discover one of London’s wildest commons, with others from The Visionaries’ community.
Note: this is one of two simultaneous Community Walks this Winter! (see our main event page for the Peak District walk)
The Plan
Sunday the 14th of December
➤ Meet at the Green Man Bus Stop near Putney Heath (SW15 3NG) at 12pm
➤ Walk a circular route for 3-4 hours. Ramble through the gorse rich Putney Heath, visit the Wimbledon Windmill, admire the newly wilded Queensmere pond, and drink fresh spring water from Ceasar’s well.
➤ End the walk at the Telegraph Pub

This walk is being led by Rowan Salim, one of The Visionaries’ Nature Guides.
What to bring?
We advise you wear good walking boots as the footpaths will be uneven and potentially quite muddy! Walking in wellies is not advised for this length of hike.
There are some essential items and other items we recommend you bring, depending on how mcuh space you have, how you’re travelling and how much you are willing to carry!
Essential
- Water bottle
- Lunch and snacks for the walk
- Enough warm layers
- Waterproof jacket
- Waterproof trousers
Recommended
- Spare shoes for after the walk (if it’s not too much to carry)
- Spare warm socks
- Suncream (you never know!)
