Visionary Schools Lab
The Visionary Schools Lab (VSL) is a collaborative space for educators who recognise the important role education plays in working towards addressing social and environmental challenges. Together we’re evolving education to help restore health to people and planet.
As a ‘lab’, we work in and across educational settings, researching and pioneering new education and learning models that center belonging, relationships and environmental health.
What might happen if we designed learning based on nature’s principles – interdependence, adaptation, wholeness, care, reciprocity, emergence, regeneration, healthy competition?
The Lab in Action
Through the Visionary Schools Lab, we collaborate with schools, colleges, universities and many other educational settings. We work to embed educational practices centred around sustainability, nature-based pedagogy, youth leadership and the improvement to health and relationships.
We work in and across diverse educational settings, and have a robust CPD & training that support organisations and schools to evolve education in response to today’s social and environmental issues.
From one off sessions to longer learning partnerships, we collaborate in a responsive and flexible way and can modify any training, CPD, Inset and Twilight offering to meet your specific needs and context.
As educators ourselves, we convene events across the UK that support us to learn from one another, to share best practice and to combine our research to grow the evidence base and case for change. Let us know if you’d like to host an event to bring our networks together.
